What is Leukemia?
Leukemia is a malignant disease of the bone marrow and the blood.
There are four major types of leukemia: Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML), acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
Leukemias are generally classified by their onset (either acute or chronic) and by their cell type (either myeloid or lymphoid).
